Process of Initial Enrollment
1. Complete and sign Student Application and return with applicable fees. Include copies of official Birth Certificate, SS card, previous
report card, standardized test scores, and original Immunization Form (Blue Card in AL).
2. Once forms have been received, an interview will be scheduled with a School Board member and/or the principal. This is an
informal meeting to get to know you a little better, go over some of our policies and discuss financial arrangements. You will
receive a phone call from the office to schedule this if needed. At least one parent/guardian is requested to attend the meeting;
other family members and children are welcome to come as well.
3. Once admission is approved, Pastor's Referral Letter is received, and required fees are paid, the child’s place in the class is secure.
4. ALL tuition and fees, as well as any other payments to LCA, are non-refundable and subject to late fees.
6. Tuition may be paid annually (due August 15th), semi-annually (due August 15th and February 15th) or 10 monthly payments
(due by the 15th of each month to avoid a $25 late fee).
7. Limited scholarships are available for those demonstrating a financial need. Please contact the school office for more information.

Application fee: $100 per new family ~ one time payment
LCA Fees: K4 $375
1st - 5th $505
LCA Fees include registration, curriculum, testing and activity fees.
*** All who are registered and pay LCA fees prior to March 31, 2017 will receive a $100 per family Early Discount***
** A late fee will be added if LCA fees are not paid by June 15th.**
K4: $2900 Annually K5-5th grade: $3450 Annually 6th grade: $3600 Annually
*** Late Fee: $25 charge if tuition is not paid by the 15th of each month***
*** Discounts: Sibling Discount: 1st sibling = 10%; 2nd sibling = 20% , etc.***

Legacy Christian Academy
Legacy Christian Academy is a private Christian school fully recognized by the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. Where is Legacy Christian Academy located? LCA is housed in the beautiful facilities of First Baptist Church Killen, 510 JC Mauldin
Highway, Killen, AL.
What grades do you have? We have K4-6th grades. Of course, all grades are subject to enrollment.
Do you have qualified teachers? Our goal is for excellence in all areas. Each of our faculty (K4-6th) holds a college degree and feels a
distinct call upon his/her life to be involved in Kingdom Education.
What curriculum do you use? Primarily Christian curriculum will be used. These may come from Abeka, Association of Christian
School International (ACSI), Bob Jones Press, etc.

Are scholarships available? Yes, scholarships are available for every grade.
Who oversees the academy? LCA was formed from the heart of several local pastors in East Lauderdale County. Crossroads
Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Killen are the founding churches. An executive board
comprised of members of these churches as well as several at-large members will oversee all
Philosophy of Education. We are further committed to the tenets of Kingdom Education
by Glen Shultz.
Is After School Care available? After School Care is available from 3:15-6:00 pm each school day through First Baptist Killen.

Are any other classes offered? We offer enrichment classes in Art, Music, Library and Physical Education. Laptops are in every classroom and Chapel is held weekly.
How many students are in a class? We strive to limit classes to 12 students thus ensuring quality one-on-one time with the teacher.
