Dr. Marty L. Mosley - Principal

Dr. Mosley has been an educator for 26 years.  He has a B.S. degree in Mathematics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, an M.A.Ed. degree in Secondary Mathematics from the University of North Alabama, an Ed.S. Degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Alabama, and an Ed.D. Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama. Prior to coming to Legacy, he was the Dean of Students at Shoals Christian School for a semester, served as Assistant Principal at Lexington School for 12 years (with the first two also being a half-time Math teacher), taught Math at Cloverdale Jr. High School for 11 years, and served as a PE paraprofessional at Underwood Elementary for a year. He also serves as Pastor at Springfield First Baptist Church in Rogersville, AL.  Amy, his wife, serves as the Library Media Specialist at Clements High School. They have two daughters Anna and Jenna. His favorite verse is Psalm 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, Oh Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”


Mrs. Anita Clounch – 6th Grade Teacher, 7th/8th Grade Proctor &

Assistant Principal
Mrs. Clounch has been involved in Christian education since 1990 in Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.  She has an education degree from the University of North Alabama.  She is married to Brad and they have one grown son, Will.  Will served in the USMC and is married to Erica and they have two daughters, Cassie and Kennedy. She and her husband attend Grace Life Church of the Shoals.  Her verse is Joshua 1:9:  “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Mrs. Tiffany White – K3 Teacher
She loves the energy and creativity involved with teaching the 3 year olds.  She hopes to begin pursuing a degree in elementary education soon.  She is married, a USAR veteran, and has a son who attends LCA.  She is involved with the children’s ministry at Faith Church and has homeschooling experience.  She is an active member of the Legacy Parent Teacher Fellowship.  Her life verse is 1 Peter 4:10 “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

Mrs. Allison Cody – K4 Teacher
Mrs. Cody is a local girl born and raised in Killen, Alabama.  She attends Church of the Highland and enjoys serving there.  She has two daughters that both attend LCA, Mia and Piper.  She loves animals of all kinds and owns many types.  This is her first year at Legacy and is very excited to be teaching K4.



Mrs.Mandy Harper – K5 Teacher
She has been a part of LCA since its beginning.  She taught K4 at LCA in the past.  She has a Bachelor of Music in piano pedagogy from the University of Montevallo.  She also serves as a private piano teacher in the area.  She is married to Bill Harper who serves as pastor of First Baptist Red Bay, MS.  They have three sons. Her favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Mrs. Zoe Plunk – 1st Grade Teacher

Mrs. Plunk has been involved in Kingdom Education for over 30 years. She brought a wealth of experience and a heartfelt commitment to the Lord to LCA.  She graduated with a BS in Special Education from Mississippi State University.  She is a member of Grace Life Church of the Shoals and is a Small Group Leader in their Children’s Department.  She has four grown children and four precious grandchildren.  Her favorite verse is Lamentations 3:22-23, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”



Mrs. Ginger Cole - 2nd/3rd Grade Teacher

Mrs. Cole has been teaching in christian education since 1994.  She is married with one daughter.   She, her husband and daughter attend First Baptist Church Center Star.  “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NJKV is a special verse to her.


Mrs. Shannon Reynolds – 5th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Reynolds is originally from Haleyville, Alabama, where she taught elementary public education for 14 years.  She is married to Greg who is a pastor in the Florence area.  She has two children, Ansley and Ian, who are twins and the joy of their lives.  She loves the Lord, her church, family, friends, and Legacy Christian Academy!  It is her honor to embark on another year at LCA.  Her life verse is Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation:  Whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”


Mrs. Melanie Lewey - Art, Music and Band Teacher

Mrs. Lewey has taught music since 2004 in various settings and is excited to teach music, art and band classes at Legacy Christian Academy.  She is married to Daniel Lewey and they have two children, James and Rebecca.  Mrs. Lewey attended North Stafford High School in Virginia before moving to Norman, Oklahoma.  While at the University of Oklahoma, she earned a BS in musical art and a master's degree in history.  She is passionate about both subjects and enjoys getting to share these interests with her students.

Mrs. Christa Burbank – Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Christa Burbank serves as our Administrative Assistant in the front office and with our teachers. She comes to LCA with a heart's desire to serve the Lord in Kingdom Education.  She and her husband, Chris, are the parents of one beautiful daughter and attend First Baptist Church Center Star. She has a BS degree in Marketing from UNA.  One of her favorite verse is Matthew 6:34:  “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
